Flexibility For Businesses To Implement A Work From Anywhere Business Model

We moved our email server and file server to the cloud in summer 2020. The biggest benefit to our firm is flexibility. Our ability to operate is no longer tied to a location. We made this decision for tactical and strategic reasons. Tactically, our employees can work from anywhere with an internet connection. Strategically, we are positioned for future growth because we can hire employees anywhere in the world and create productive access to our operational tools.

LanSource provides top notch customer service, advice, and implementation. The service for technical issues is same day or faster. The sales team delivers sound advice on advantages and disadvantage of various technology solutions. The solution implementation is reliable, timely, and accurate.

The objections to implementing a cloud solution generally revolve around ROI. At this point, an on-site server solution would be cheaper than a cloud solution. However, most ROI calculations do not take business flexibility or security into account. When you take a company to the cloud, you no longer need to worry about whether there will be a power outage or internet connectivity problem in your office. If that happens, just move employees to any other place that has an internet connection and your business is still running. Moving to the cloud creates flexibility for businesses to implement a work from anywhere business model. This is much more difficult with on-site servers. With the cloud servers, they have more secure locations, electrical and geographical redundancy, and server maintenance. The security and reliability value needs to be considered in addition to ROI.
